Open workshop & Performance

It won’t always grow back (performance)
24/03, 20:45 h, Arti et Amicitiae

"Anyone can make the simple complicated. Creativity is making the complicated simple." [Charles Mingus]

To present complex content and situations in a simple way is a signature of the art of BBB Johannes Deimling. The intersection between complexity and simplicity, inspire and provoke to stimulate the perception and aesthetics.
Deimling 'acted images [agierteBilder]' are initially made purely visual, and gradually give access to the senses to create a holistic view of the banalities of everyday life.

Deimling fits visual elements by deconstructing the course of actions and putting the parts back together in a different order, in a cinematic way. "What's in my head, '' Leaking memories," "Around the World" and "A rolling stone gathers no moss" are just a few titles cycles of BBB Johannes Deimling includes several performative collages.

Deimling creates ephemeral images, not made to be interpreted by the logic of the language. The balance of the metaphorical, surrealistic image and the transformation of the artist in a unique readable sign, is what makes the work so interesting Deimling. The precision of his movements, the possibility of failure and the presence of chance, reach a pristine visual sensation where simplicity generates a humorous magic moment which threatens all Deimling's performance art.
